Sullivan County Three-Day Release Records
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office does not provide a verified rolling 72-hour release page. No official feed URL, public field list, update cadence, or online retention statement was found. The official regional JailTracker also has no discovered released or history view. It is a current regional roster, not a way to reconstruct the last three days.
Start with the state-hosted Sullivan County Sheriff directory and call 660-265-3313. Ask whether the person was held locally, transferred to Pattonsburg, or delivered to another authority. For a group of releases, address a written request to the records custodian and define the exact 72-hour interval. If the regional jail handled the release, send a matching request there.
Check Sullivan County 72-Hour Releases
A precise three-day search should identify both the time range and the records sought. Missouri's Sunshine Law does not generally require an agency to build a new custom list. Ask for an existing release log, report, export, or the record entries sufficient to show releases. Include a time zone and note when the request was submitted.
- Set the start and end timestamps for the full 72-hour period, including the local time zone.
- Ask the Sullivan Sheriff whether an existing release report covers that span and whether any bookings moved to the regional jail.
- Send the regional custodian the same interval if Pattonsburg intake, custody, or discharge may be involved.
- Request name, booking number, admission and release times, release reason, authority, destination, charge, case number, and photo availability.
- Compare each result with Case.net, then recheck after the clerk has had time to enter an order.
- Follow any state commitment with MODOC and use MOVANS for future local custody-change notices.
For only the most recent day, use the narrower 24-hour release process. When the task is to locate one named person across all possible systems, use the Sullivan County released-inmate search path.
Sullivan County 72-Hour Record Fields
Because no public Sullivan County release table exists, the requested fields must come from the retained booking or release record. The release time alone can be misleading. Authority and destination show whether the person entered the community or merely moved out of one agency's legal custody.
| Requested field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | Separates people with similar names and ties the event to one booking. |
| Admission and release date/time | Places the event inside the defined 72-hour span. |
| Release type and authority | Shows bond, court discharge, time served, sentence completion, or transfer. |
| Receiving agency or destination | Distinguishes community release from continued detention elsewhere. |
| Charge and court number | Connects the custody event to the correct judicial record. |
| Hold or detainer status | Identifies another authority's claim on custody. |
Ask for the fields specifically. A broad request for “all records” may obscure the key event and increase review time. If part of the file is closed, ask the custodian to provide the open parts and identify the legal basis for each withheld part.
Sullivan County Weekend Release Timing
A 72-hour interval is most useful when a possible release crossed a weekend, holiday, or court counter closure. The physical jail release and the clerk's docket entry do not always appear at the same time. A booking record may supply the exit timestamp before the public court record reflects the bond order, dismissal, or sentence entry.
Label when each source was checked. If the Case.net entry is missing or unclear, return after the clerk processes the order. A court entry explains the legal event, but it is not the facility's physical exit log. Conversely, a release code may not explain the whole court history. Reading both sources keeps a delayed docket entry from being mistaken for a missing release.
The public counter schedule is not a release-processing schedule. Custody operations can continue when an administrative office is closed, so a three-day request should not exclude nights or weekends.
A three-day span can also include more than one status change for the same person. A transfer to Pattonsburg, return for court, and later community release are distinct events. Ask for each admission, departure, and receiving destination within the interval. A single final status can hide the route through local and regional custody.
Note: Use full timestamps rather than calendar dates when the interval crosses midnight, a weekend, or an office closure.
Sullivan County Regional Release Checks
A Sullivan booking may lead to custody at Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail in Pattonsburg. The transfer route is supported by secondary reporting and historical audit material, but no current Sullivan contract or policy was located. Confirm the facility for each booking. The regional jail may hold the physical release entry while the Sullivan Sheriff keeps the arrest, commitment, or transfer record.
The Daviess County Sheriff explanation describes the independent regional jail arrangement. The image below comes from that official source and helps identify the regional governance involved in the Sullivan County path.
The source supports the regional facility relationship, not a claim that every Sullivan County detainee is housed or released there.
When both agencies hold part of the file, request both. Compare booking numbers, case numbers, transfer times, and the stated receiving authority. A regional roster entry can confirm custody at the time viewed, but it cannot supply the three-day history after the person drops off.
Sullivan County Roster Retention Difference
The official regional JailTracker has no discovered released, 24-hour, or 72-hour view. Its online scope is current regional custody. That limited display differs from legal record retention. Missouri's sheriff retention schedule includes admission and release dates and transfer information in inmate files kept for at least five years after release. Daily prisoner reports have a one-year minimum.
An entry can vanish from a screen while the source record remains available from the custodian. The retention schedule does not promise that a file is posted online, and it does not prove that a prebuilt 72-hour report exists. Ask which record series contains the event and request that record for the exact time range.
Under Missouri section 610.023, the custodian must act as soon as possible and no later than the end of the third business day after receiving a request. A reasonable cause can extend production, but the response must explain the delay and provide the earliest expected date and time. Section 610.026 governs allowable copy and staff costs. Ask for electronic production and a fee estimate before work begins.
No Sullivan-specific fee table was found. If the office estimates a charge, ask it to separate copying, staff, media, and any programming costs. Set a fee ceiling in the request and ask for notice before the work exceeds it. A narrow interval and a short field list can reduce uncertainty.
Sullivan County Release Fallback Chain
Each system has a narrow job. Start with the Sheriff or regional custodian for a local custody exit. Use the court docket for the order or judgment. Check MOVANS when a participating local jail or court event may have generated a notice. Use the MODOC offender search only when the record points to state prison, parole, conditional release, or supervised probation.
A state result should be read by its own terms. Parole or conditional release means the person is outside prison but remains under MODOC authority. Full discharge is different, and discharged offenders are excluded from the interactive MODOC search. If the Sullivan record shows a state commitment and the live search no longer returns the person, request the state archive or discharge record.
- Current roster
- A view of people held when checked, not a release archive.
- Release record
- The booking event that supplies the physical exit, reason, authority, and destination.
- Transfer
- A move between agencies or facilities that ends one roster entry but may continue custody.
- Discharge
- The end of a sentence or supervision status, which is different from leaving a county jail on bond.
A missing name proves none of these outcomes by itself. Obtain the release entry and match it to the court or receiving-agency record.
For a federal transfer, the Bureau of Prisons locator applies only after a sentenced person enters BOP custody. A U.S. Marshals detainee may remain in a contracted local facility and not appear as a sentenced BOP prisoner. Follow the receiving agency named in the Sullivan or regional release entry instead of searching every system without a documented link.
ICE's locator is likewise a present civil detention lead, not a Sullivan County release archive. A missing ICE result does not prove release or removal. Use it only when the local record points to immigration custody.
